Nesfield is in an idyllic rural location on the edge of the Derbyshire village of Barlow in the Peak District Border Country.
What strikes people the most is the peace and tranquillity that Nesfield Cottage offers. We are well away from the main road down a leafy farm track which leads to our cottage at the end.
We're surrounded by lovely countryside - great for wildlife - you can watch the birds at the feeders as you eat your breakfast or maybe catch sight of foxes and squirrels on the bank opposite. You might even spot a red deer!
Walkers, cyclists, golfers, anglers - whatever your interests, the area has heaps to offer you. Chatsworth House is a short drive away, as is Bolsover Castle, Renishaw Hall and Hardwick Hall. Or if you prefer the bright lights of the city, Sheffield, Meadowhall, Chesterfield and Bakewell are easily accessible.
